What to Consider When Choosing a Bed Base Set

A bed base set – known in Turkish as a baza – consists of a headboard and a base with storage space underneath, and it shapes both the look and the organisation of your bedroom. Start with your mattress size: a base that matches the mattress keeps it from shifting and makes the set look complete. Then measure the room, leaving enough space on both sides for bedside tables and easy access, and check that wardrobe doors and the bedroom door can open freely.

Making the most of the storage space

The storage space beneath the base is a real advantage, especially in smaller city bedrooms. Seasonal duvets and blankets, spare bed linen or suitcases can all be stored there neatly. When choosing, we recommend asking how the base opens and how practical it is for everyday use. Airing the storage space now and then and keeping items in boxes or bags helps everything stay tidy.
